Apple Streusel Muffins

Muffin
 2 cups Flour, all-purpose
 1 cup Sugar
 1 tsp Baking Powder
 ½ tsp Baking Soda
 ½ tsp Salt
  cup Milk
 2 Eggs, room temperature
 ½ cup Unsalted Butter, melted
 1 ¼ tsp Vanilla Extract
 1 ½ cups Tart Apples, peeled & chopped
Streusel Topping
  cup Brown Sugar, packed
 1 tbsp Flour, all-purpose
  tsp Ground Cinnamon
 1 tbsp Cold Butter
Glaze
 ¾ cup Confectioners' Sugar
 23 tsp Milk, 2%
 1 tsp Unsalted Butter, melted
  tsp Vanilla Extract
 1 dash Salt

Preheat oven to 375°.

Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until moistened. Fold in apples.

Fill 12 greased or paper-lined muffin cups three-fourths full. For topping, mix brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 15-20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool.

Mix glaze ingredients; drizzle over tops.

These muffins have a texture more like coffee cake - dense.
