Using a whisk attachment on your stand mixer, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Scrape down the bowl as needed.
With the mixer on low, add vanilla and heavy whipping cream and beat until stiff peaks form.
Pipe onto vanilla (or rainbow!) cupcakes with a large circle tip starting in the center and moving outwards to create little "mounds."
Practice on the bottom of a cup until you like how they look.
